Is there a way to make the selected text easier to see on a Mac?

If the selected text in Word appears faint, you can change your preference for it with these instructions: 

• If Word is open, close it 

• Go into System Settings > Appearance 

• Find the "Highlight color" drop-down menu, and select preferred colour 

• Exit System Settings

• Re-open MS Word 

The highlight colour should now change. The effect is system-wide (not just in Word).
