No, PerfectIt does not harness AI in anyway.

In its simplest form PerfectIt operates in a way similar to a traditional spelling or grammar checker, with a library of rules.

PerfectIt for Windows also runs fully offline, and does not connect to the internet or local network in any way. It does not transmit any data anywhere.
